The Experience

More Than Riding. Real Horsemanship.

Every day at camp is intentional. Campers don't just sit on a horse — they learn to understand one. By the end of the week, they'll carry skills, confidence, and a connection to these animals that lasts far longer than summer.

Horseback Riding Instruction

Daily riding lessons with structured, progressive instruction for every skill level.

Safe Handling & Ground Work

How to approach, lead, and work confidently around horses and ponies on the ground.

Grooming & Bathing

Hands-on care — brushing, bathing, and learning what it takes to keep a horse healthy.

Tacking Up & Untacking

Proper saddling and bridling — the foundation of every safe, successful ride.

Horse Care & Barn Management

Feeding, nutrition basics, and how a well-run equestrian facility operates day to day.

Character & Teamwork

Team games, group activities, and lessons in empathy, responsibility, and self-confidence.

A Day at Camp

Structured. Active. Never Boring.

Camp runs Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 2 PM. Every hour is purposeful — alternating between hands-on horse time and indoor sessions so campers stay learning and energized even on Florida summer days. Indoor sessions, videos, and shade-tree activities keep things comfortable during the heat of the day, while still packing in as much horse time as safely possible.

9:00 AM · Sharp

Arrival & Morning Orientation

Camp starts on time. Campers get oriented, review the day's schedule, and head straight into barn time.

Morning Session

Barn Work & Ground Skills

Grooming, tacking, safe handling, and horsemanship fundamentals. This is where the relationship with the horse begins.

Mid-Morning

Riding Instruction

Structured riding lessons with individual coaching. Beginners learn the basics; returning campers build on previous skills.

Midday

Lunch, Cool-Down & Indoor Time

Campers eat their own packed lunch in our air-conditioned lounge. Indoor sessions, horse-fact lessons, and supervised water play help beat the heat.

Afternoon

Games, Crafts & Team Activities

Team challenges, horsemanship games, and character-building activities under the shade trees.

2:00 PM

Pick-Up

Campers are ready for pickup at 2 PM. Please be on time — a late pickup fee of $15 per 10 minutes applies.

The Awards Ceremony — Don't Miss It

Every camp week closes with a proper Awards Ceremony on the final day. Campers are recognized for their effort, growth, and achievements throughout the week. It's the moment that makes everything click — and parents are encouraged to be there for it.

What to Bring

Come Prepared. We Handle the Rest.

Long Pants

Required for every riding session. Riding breeches are ideal, but any close-fitting long pants work.

Boots with a Heel

At least a one-inch heel is required for safety. Sneakers, flip flops, and sandals are not permitted in the barn or arena.

ASTM-Approved Riding Helmet

Safety helmets are required. Farm helmets are available to borrow for the first week — a great option if you want to try camp before investing.

Packed Lunch & Snacks

Campers bring their own bagged lunch and snacks each day. Please send plenty.

Plenty of Water

Florida heat is real. Campers should arrive well-hydrated and bring a large water bottle — refills are available.

Optional: Riding Gloves & Half Chaps

Gloves are always a nice touch. Half chaps protect the legs from chafing and are a great addition if your child plans to ride regularly.

Where to Get Riding Gear

All required riding equipment is easy to find online. We recommend:

Amazon — fast shipping, wide selection for beginners
Dover Saddlery — trusted equestrian brand, quality gear
State Line Tack — great value on boots and helmets

Not sure what to buy? Reach out before camp — we're happy to point you toward the right gear at the right price for your budget.

Policies & Guidelines

Punctuality Matters

Camp begins at 9:00 AM sharp. From the first moment, campers are learning — late arrivals disrupt the group and the horses. Please plan accordingly. A $15 late pickup fee applies per 10 minutes after 2 PM.

Safety Is Non-Negotiable

We ask parents to prepare campers to arrive ready to listen, follow directions, and take safety seriously around the horses. Children who come with that mindset get the most out of every single day.

Minimum Enrollment per Session

Each camp week requires a minimum number of registered campers to run. We'll notify families in advance if a session needs to be rescheduled — another reason to register early and encourage friends to join.
